There's so much to do at Mead Open Farm over the Halloween period you'll be wondering what to do first. With witches trail and haunted castles, phantom rides, and field of terror, carve your own pumpkin, pet the rabbits, feed the goats and milk the cows. Take part in the daily fancy dress competition at 5pm from Monday 27th October.

There are many fun and spooky activities during half term and on Halloween.
This year the scary tractor ride will go through the Wicked Woods.
There will also be a Field of Screams and our Ghost Train ride will also be back.
All the usual activities such as quads, bungee trampolines, animal feeding, bunny cuddling etc. will be available and inclusive in the entry price. There will also be the chance to carve a pumpkin in a Deadly Dungeon setting for cost of buying a pumpkin.

The Scary just got Scarier: Thurleigh will be hosting Fright Nights on Wednesday 29th, Thursday 30th, Friday 31st and Saturday 1st November.

On these days they will be open as normal from
9:30am but will stay open later until 8:00pm. Join them for the day or come as it gets dark. On these late days Thurleigh would like to encourage visits from working families and families with perhaps older children brave enough to take the scary tractor ride, ghost train or field of screams in the DARK!

Each of the four Fright Nights will have a short Firework Finale (please note this is not a full firework display).

There will be a  Halloween Party on Friday October 28th and will include a Fancy Dress competition and finish with a short Firework Finale, but feel free to dress up any time you visit, even let the kids dress up too. Pumpkin Carving in the Deadly Dungeon Setting; Apple Bobbing; Spooky Tractor Rides; Gruesome Lucky Dip; Mask Making; Badge Making; (some of these at additional cost).

Entry prices for Halloween are £7.00 for children 4 and over, £5.75 for children 3 and under and £5.00 for adults. Each pumpkin carved will cost £1.50-3.50 depending on size.

Explore the museum on a Halloween hunt: make scary masks to wear or a mini scarecrow for your Halloween decorations. Listen to ghost stories and take part in traditional Halloween games for the whole family. Bring your own home grown pumpkin to enter the pumpkin competition and come in costume to join the spooky parade at 3pm. Free. Drop-in. Craft activity £1 per child.

On Friday the 31st of October Bodyflight will be running night jumps on our new attraction: Bodyflight Vertigo. Climb to the top of the Bodyflight tower and see the lights of Bedford glittering in the valley below, before leaping into the dark and falling to the ground in a genuine leap of faith.

Bodyflight Vertigo is our newest attraction: A 120ft fan descender jump from the roof of the Bodyflight Tower which allows you to experience the rush of leaping from the top of a building, with the safety of a controlled descent to the ground.

Jumps on Vertigo are normally £30 each, but on this special night they are offering unlimited jumps all evening with the ‘Vertigo Halloween Pass' for just £40.

They will also be giving out tunnel time prizes for the best Fancy dress costume.

Jumps will start at 6pm and carry on until late. A Bar will also be open in the evening
