My fun blog

Have you been exploring Bedfordshire!? Where have you visited? What did you see?! Did you like it and would you go back for another visit again? If you love exploring different places in Bedfordshire then tell us your story!

My Fun Blog is for Experience Bedfordshire Explorers to let everybody else know where they have been on their adventures. Our explorers aim to give an honest opinion of various attractions in Bedfordshire, what they enjoyed and what could have been better about their trip to give other families and children an idea of a particular attraction before they themselves go and visit.

We'll upload your blogs on the various attractions you visit if you email them to Kayleigh.James@bedscc.gov.uk and let everyone know what your views are on different attractions around Bedfordshire.

Courtesy of www.ExperienceBedfordshire.com a group of school children from Renhold Lower School in Bedfordshire had the opportunity to experience some of Bedfordshire's top attractions.

Thirty Seven pupils at Renhold Lower in years 3 & 4 went on different adventures across the county, including Stondon Transport Museum, The Kiln, Bedford Museum & Woburn Safari Park.

Pupils from Renhold Lower School in Bedfordshire

Stondon Transport Museum

Stondon Transport Museum is a great place to go. It is not just cars it is all different kinds of transport like trains, bikes, boats. The people who look after the Museum have done a very good job, they have looked after the big museum and all the transport.

The café has lots of lovely things in there like china dolls. They have snacks but not any sandwiches. But the snacks are great! They have drinks and ice lollies on a hot day.

Things you need to bring is that always bring a bottle of water because on a hot day you could get dehydrated. Don't bring a coat on a very hot day. You are not allowed to bring pets in the Stondon Transport Museum.

The Kiln

We went to The Kiln in Bedford. And we all parked on the road.

In there are bowls and trays with mermaids and fairies and fairies on the moon.

You come in and paint and then they make it shiny and then they put it in the kiln and then you can take it home. I did a racing car tile.

Bedford Museum

What I liked about Bedford Museum was there were excellent exhibits for you to learn about. Becky.

At  the Bedford museum my favourite thing was the stuffed animals and I saw a stuffed hedgehog with yellow spikes and a big swan called a mute swan. Harry

My best thing about going to Bedford museum is the fossils and the model of the castle. Glen

There was lots of games to play. Liam

I liked the exhibits because they were interesting they had interesting facts about history. The history was over 100s & 1000s of years old. The remains of the castle Mound were very little .The trip was exciting learning about new things was a new piece of knowledge .Some of the history was millions of years old . It was great finding out about history that is my favourite bit about the trip to Bedford Museum. Guy

Woburn Safari Park

We went on a mini bus because it took 30 or 40 minutes from Bedford to get there. You have to go in a mini bus, car or coach because you go through the wild animals enclosures.

There are lots of facilities at Woburn including: Toilets-disabled, baby changing, there are lots around the park. Refreshments-café, restaurant and picnic areas-inside and outside. Gift shop where you can buy lots of presents for your family and first aid points.

There are other attractions which are Foot Safari, Swan Boats, Great Woburn Railway, & Australian Walkabout

I liked going into Monkey Business because there were monkeys in the trees. Shannon

I liked the Wolves and the Black Bears enclosure because they were hard to find. They were funny because Ellie my friend knocked on the mini buses window and a wolf looked at her and it was really funny. Shyonai

I liked the wolves, monkeys and the giraffes. I liked the wolves because they looked like husky dogs and I liked the monkeys because there was a baby monkey and two of the monkeys were pulling the baby. Ellie
